Normand Pinard and his partners open up a modest transport company in a tiny warehouse on Ste-Hélène Street in Saint-Lambert, Quebec. In those days, the 3 trucks were serving some 15 customers.

Not anticipating how quickly their company would grow, they move into a larger warehouse (500 sq. ft) that is still located on Ste-Hélène Street. During this period, deliveries are made on the same as well as on the next day.

The first owner-driver is hired as a broker. This way of doing business will become Colispro's and Nationex's biggest asset for its future success.
After an unexceptional first few years, the company begins to do well and decides to move its head office to Saint-Hubert. The company is renamed Colispro which means parcel experts. At this critical juncture in the company's development, management decides to specialize in next day delivery. By 1986, 4,000 parcels are sorted |

During this early growth period, Colispro covers the metropolitan area of Montreal (from Saint-Jérôme (north) to Saint-Hyacinthe (south). Consistent with its vision of serving the greater province of Québec, it begins to open branches in many cities.
|
|
In the following years, in order to keep up with demand and rapid growth, Colispro is obliged to enlarge its warehouse and renovate its offices in 1993 and then again in 1996. |
The creation of the "Controlex" software gradually eliminated manual work. Sorting and tracking of parcels became more efficient.
|
Following a major decision to expand its business into Ontario, Colispro changes its name to Nationex. The company opens a major branch in Mississauga (Toronto), Ontario. It also enters into partnerships with Maritime and Western Canadian transport agents to better respond to customer demand for coast to coast service |
Automated conveyors installed |
1999 Nationex purchases and installs a state-of-the-art, fully automated (computerized) conveyor belt which allows it to sort thousands of parcels faster and more efficiently. |
2008. Nationex introduces a revised corporate image (logo) that reflects its dedication to performance and efficiency and the extent of its network.
