1980, Transport Alain & Michel, marks the beginning of a wonderful business adventure.

Normand Pinard and his partners open up a modest transport company in a tiny warehouse on Ste-Hélène Street in Saint-Lambert, Quebec. In those days, the 3 trucks were serving some 15 customers.

Not anticipating how quickly their company would grow, they move into a larger warehouse (500 sq. ft) that is still located on Ste-Hélène Street. During this period, deliveries are made on the same as well as on the next day.

1984, The beginning of the owner-driver era

The first owner-driver is hired as a broker. This way of doing business will become Colispro's and Nationex's biggest asset for its future success.

1986, Renaissance and rapid growth

After an unexceptional first few years, the company begins to do well and decides to move its head office to Saint-Hubert. The company is renamed Colispro which means parcel experts. At this critical juncture in the company's development, management decides to specialize in next day delivery.

By 1986, 4,000 parcels are sorted
and delivered every day.

During this early growth period, Colispro covers the metropolitan area of Montreal (from Saint-Jérôme (north) to Saint-Hyacinthe (south).

Consistent with its vision of serving the greater province of Québec, it begins to open branches in many cities.
